MB&F – Maximilian Büsser & Friends

MB&F: “based around one very simple and fundamental ideal: to assemble dedicated Collectives of talented horological artisans, artists and professionals – all friends – to design and craft each year a radical and original horological masterpiece.

By nurturing teams of talented individuals, harnessing their passion and creativity and crediting each individual’s essential role, MB&F uses their synergy to become much greater than the sum of its parts.”

I had the chance, thanks to my friend Manu, to have an extraordinary visit of the M.A.D. Gallery in Geneva, Switzerland and to have a very nice and passionate presentation made by Charris Yadigaroglou (Com Head of the Brand) of the Horological Machines of MB&F.

This was for sure the craziest and most impressive “watches” I have ever seen. You cannot just call them watches anymore, this definition of “horological machines” fits much better.

It’s really quite impossible to imagine what you can realize in this area before you were in contact with these fantastic pieces of work. This is craftsmanship pushed to its limit, as passion and art!

Some pictures I have taken during the visit!

Saint Barth Summer 2011 – Day 14

Wednesday

So, yesterday (Wednesday) was our last full day in Saint Barth, whole morning at Saline, again. Very breezy, quite a lot of seaweeds on the beach, less in the water ;-) Crazy how this evolved within 2 days!

Thursday

Today, we are flying back to France, holidays are over! Almost 24 hours of travel, brrr… We were again at Le Gaiac yesterday evening, just great moment and the right place to "close" our stay in Saint Barth.

Saint Barth Summer 2011 – Day 12

Very sunny and hot morning today, this afternoon, heavy rains, so a very long nap for the whole family!

Now sitting on the terrace with a Romeo y Julieta & a Rhum Vanille, a lot of lightnings on the ocean, but without rain till now, listening to U2/The Joshua Tree.

Life is good :-)

This morning, we were first at the Corossol beach. Really marvelous again, but a very tiny beach actually. So, after a while, we decided to go back to Saline… Pffuuu, again fantastic colors, some funny waves to play with my son.

Saint Barth Summer 2011 – Day 10

Again a very hot and sunny day, this time … with a lot of seaweeds on Flamands beach. Still very calm and clear, but on the "right side" of the beach (near the hotel Isle de France). The other side was really full of seaweeds… This is something new for us at Saint Barth. No jellyfish but seaweeds this year!

Provence, Baux-de-Provence, Saint Rémy, …

We could have some days off end of April at Les Baux-de-Provence in South-East of France / Provence. A real nice stay actually! I finally invest the time to post-produce my photos. This time, no big equipment, just my little Canon S90 and DxO…

Ousteau de Baumanière

Ousteau de Baumanière, an excellent hotel, perfectly positioned near les Baux-de-Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (which is much nicer than les Baux, too much touristic and artificial for our taste), les Alpilles, Avignon, etc. Service was really great, as the room we had. Two restaurants in the hotel, both worth a visit ;-) L’Ousteau itself which is a 2* Michelin, absolutely fantastic, and la Cabro d’Or, a 1* Michelin, which is also very interesting. We had there a “vertical” degustation menu with 10 dishes all based on different excellent local olive oils, including the dessert!

Olive groves

This region is a kind of paradise for people (like me) that likes olive oils. A lot of small producers, so many different tastes, pure happiness!
