Annual photos review 2015

Quite an intense year again concerning photos… About 23’500 pictures shot in 2015 for 475 GB, thereof 4’000 published.

My pictures portfolio on SmugMug has generated about 1.2 million views during the year, with a peak of 25’045 views in one day on March 6. And cumulated since 2009, 5.3 million views.

The 12th day of our Saint Barth trip was the most visited part of the portfolio in 2015:

Some figures about 2010

On this blog:

  • 1.3 million pageviews in 2010 (cumulated since March 2004: 6.7 million pageviews)
  • and 79 posts (cumulated since March 2004: 1’221 posts)

On SmugMug:

  • 800’000 unique views in 2010
  • and more than 1.5 million in the last 2 years

I feel very comfortable now with my technical current setup:

iPhone theme switcher

I have installed and activated a WordPress plugin called iPhone theme switcher which allows in a super easy way to detect if my site is being viewed by iPhone or iPod (about 2% of the traffic here) and to switch to a selected iPhone theme. I use the iPhone WordPress Theme 1.0.1

Now, if you have a look at this site with your iPhone, you should see something like that:

Some changes in the sidebar…

So, I had to correct some stuff in my right sidebar:

  • get rid of my visitors log and map, as the service (gvisit.com) is down since some days now
  • insert a … search (!). Actually I have forgotten to integrate it with all the changes I have done
  • change the SmugMug badge which is shown within the sidebar, switch to “Saint Barth 2010” ;-) Looks like the one just below:
