Saint Barth 2011 – Day 7

Toiny’s stroll

As the weather was not so good yesterday morning, we went for our nice stroll at Toiny (the so-called wild coast of Saint Barth). As usual, very nice. Weather was also better and better.

Strange clouds and colors at the beginning

Wife and son captivated by the landscape

Myself captivated by the fantastic Toiny Bay

And back to the car!

Saint Barth 2011 – Day 3

Some pictures taken by night from the villa Agave. Actually, it was fully dark (22:30) :-) But with a very long exposure (30s, which explains the blurred effect on the palm trees and the clouds) and high-ISO (1600) you can have some interesting effect. You can see some lights at the bottom of the pictures and some stars in the sky.

Saint Barth 2011 – Day 2

Wow, first “wake-up” in Saint Barth at 06:15 this morning, which is not bad with our –5 hours time difference! So we again enjoy the 25°C in the morning ;-)

Then, we decide to go to Maya’s to Go for a breakfast, as we couldn’t buy everything yesterday day for a good holidays breakfast. There, super idea from my wife who proposed to take the breakfast and have it … on the beach! So that’s what we did :-) Breakfast at Saint Jean beach at 07:15.

What a great experience….

First swim in the ocean (27°C) and the swimming-pool (28°C). Outside: 30°C.

Life is soooo tough here, hihihi.

By the way, I have bought a new Canon lens for my 5D MarkII just before leaving: a new ultra-wide angle from Canon, the EF 16-35mm  f/2.8 L II USM, with a B+W 82mm MRC Slim UV Filter. The first “results” here (post-produced with DxO as Single HDR shot).

Saint Barth 2011 – Day 1

Arrived this afternoon on the "island". A bit of delay between Paris and Saint Martin, but anyway we are here with all our luggage (!), our rented Mini Cab, and our rented villa (Agave). First dinner at Andy, as usual. Just great. Again this strong feeling that we left yesterday!

Now sitting on the terrace, with a good cigar (Davidoff Grand Cru no. 2),an old rhum (Vieux Rhum Clément from Martinique), and listening to the last Marianne Faithfull ;-)

Life is good. And appreciated!
